Eleanor G. "Toni" Locke passed away on February 8, 2015 at age 97
She was one of the first Americans involved in the Kodály movement, an accomplished musician and a volunteer teacher in Kodály music programs. She was also the author of "Sail Away: 155 American Folk Songs to Sing, Read and Play", a fine folk song collection used by many Kodály method teachers. On retirement, she donated to Holy Names University her extensive collection of folk music scores and also volunteered over a period of years at the University’s American Folk Song Collection to assist in cataloguing them.
