Membership is open to individuals and institutions sharing the aims of this prestigious Society. By joining you can build international connections and enjoy special membership benefits.
If you wish to join:
Please first register, then you will receive a confirmation email with an activation link. Click on that link to create your account. If you do not seem to get an activation email, please check your junk/spam folder to see if it is there. After your account is activated your application will be reviewed, and if approved you will get an email about it.
Then you can log in by clicking on the profile icon in the upper right corner of the page and pay the membership fee. After your payment is processed you will receive a welcome email with your member ID from the Executive Office and from then on you can enjoy your membership benefits. The Member Area is reserved for full IKS members.
Already an IKS member:
If you are already an IKS member the procedure is different. When you log into the website for the first time, please use your email, click on Forgot your password and follow the instructions. After setting your new password you will not have do that again, you will be able to log in normally.
By logging into your profile you can see the details of your account (your member ID, expiry date, etc.) and can update them if needed. Should your name or email address change, please let the Office know as you cannot modify those yourself.

In case you wish to pay several membership fees at once or somebody else’s fee (even if it is your own society), you can do it from the Shop. You should write the relevant details in the Notes then.
After payment one year will be automatically added to the previous expiry date. After your membership expires we offer a complimentary grace period of one month during which you can renew your membership and access the Member Area, but you cannot enjoy any other membership benefits until you renew. If you leave your membership lapse for more than two years you lose your continuous membership and will be treated as a new member when you renew.
If you do not want to forget to renew, it is possible to set up automatic renewal from your profile. In case you change your membership type (e.g. retire), your next membership fee will be updated accordingly. Any automatic renewal will be cancelled and will have to be set up at the time of your next payment.
If you are willing to add a donation to your membership fee, please write the preferred amount in the Donation field and it will be automatically added to the membership fee. In the cart you will see the total (fee + donation).
Current full IKS members are offered a discount on the prices of our publications and can freely avail themselves of the offerings of the Member Area.
